Old log from 09/14/03 (well not THAT old). Me and Amearn where planning to scare Thrfak a little (or something like that) so I went after him to start our little scheme. Since Thrfak seems to like to (re)post older logs of himself I figured I might as well post an interesting old log of himself. This was just a little after I switched so several mistakes on my part :P
No Thrfak, you're stupid, if you actually read my comments, you would've found point 3..... That being that i reset the computer and still didn't get the link dead message. Besides, i'm still waiting for an explanation on Recluse and his quitter tag :).

i've crashed my PC many times, and come back and still in combat, not linkdead, not even disbanded the party i was in...
If your client closed, people in the same room wouuldnt get the 'XXX starts disconnecting' message....that only happens if you type quit, i think...
Anyway's you are all stupid and you'd realize this by reading Kujo's comment, all that has to happen for someone to go linkdead is for there Zmud to close out and as I previously stated, this was around the time that my computer crashed quite often, took it to some computer dude and he found 785 spyware applications on it :/ ick

So it looks to me like Thfrak DID type quit...
If he did came back sooner I would believe him, but he didn`t :P something like 10m or so.

Say what you like D man, I just tested it myself with a friend. You simply do NOT go link dead that quickly unless you close your mud client.
Closing the zmud window = started disconnecting message the following round
Pulling network cable out of back of computer = not getting the message at all (up to the 10 rounds we tested to).
Resetting computer = same result as pulling network cable out.
I'll test it on modems when I get access to another one, but I doubt it makes a difference, but you can test it yourself if you don't believe me :).
I went LD once when I was attempted. But that was cause my 56k modem only connects for 4 hours then disconnects. So I had to reconnect. When I logged back on I was still in combat and I broke. It is feasable that he didnt actually quit rhoads and usually a net-dead isnt a quitter, its a person with computer or connection trouble. You should know that though, i'd deliver a insult to you but i couldn't be bothered i dont think i got too many warnings left. But i thought this log was shit man, and i thought better of you.
It doesn't happen like that anyways...
I been playing t2t for ages. And never once has i went link-dead when being attempted...

all I gotta do is read the beginning of this log to know what it's about, this was around the time my computer crashed all the time, call me a quitter or whatever rhoads, you never killed me and about 5 mins prior to your attack my computer crashed so psha whatever
