Situation: Karvid stole Beregor's Fang a while ago. I heard about that and didn't like it. So I waited. Then killed him.

look at it from just about anywhere in the room.  A thick haze of pipe 
smoke fills the air, at its thickest near the wood-paneled ceiling.

private room upstairs, you can relax or sleep without intrusion.
