    Before you lies a large hall, devoid of tables. At the far end of the
hall, a large marble fireplace has been set into the very foundation of
the house. Two large pillars flank the fireplace, reaching from the high
ceiling to the wooden floor. A portrait on the east wall catches your eye.
The south door is open.
    The only obvious exit is south.
