fight.  The upper hand is constantly varying as mental blows

it is there, horn-like, stabbing into the troubled sky.  Directly 
before you is the gate to the tower, guarded not by stone or iron 
bar, but the malignant will of the Watchers.  They loom on either 
side of the opening, two massive statues with the heads of vultures.
Part of the entrance's archway seems to have collapsed recently, 
the rubble having been moved to one side to form a narrow path into 
the dim courtyard beyond.  There are cliffs to the northeast, east, 
and southeast.
The sky is clear yet still dark as night.
    The only obvious exits are gate and southwest.

    This is the central area of the tower's courtyard.  On one
side stand the fearsome Watchers, guarding the entrance and exit
from the compound, while on the other side are the massive doors
that lead into the tower proper.  The remnants of the recent
battle are still evident here, although all of the bodies have
been piled to the northwest.  The doors to the tower are thrown
wide open, and the re-fortification of the tower makes this quite 
a busy area.

    This is a large, low room, the stench of which is nearly
unbearable.  Long, crude wooden tables cover much of the floor
space, and beneath and around them are layers and mounds of such
fetid filth that the very sight of it nearly makes you retch.
Such is an orcish mess hall, where rats run between the legs of
the eaters and maggots crawl through rotting strips of discarded
flesh, sometimes making their way into the meals.  The air seems 
to be a living thing, crushing your lungs and senses with the 
weight of its smell.  A long balcony runs along the length of the
north wall.  It is set high upon the wall and seems to serve
as a dining area for officers.

    This is a large, low room, the stench of which is nearly
unbearable.  Long, crude wooden tables cover much of the floor
space, and beneath and around them are layers and mounds of such
fetid filth that the very sight of it nearly makes you retch.
Such is an orcish mess hall, where rats run between the legs of
the eaters and maggots crawl through rotting strips of discarded
flesh, sometimes making their way into the meals.  The air seems 
to be a living thing, crushing your lungs and senses with the 
weight of its smell.  A long balcony runs along the length of the
north wall.  It is set high upon the wall and seems to serve
as a dining area for officers.
