It was most regrettable that I could not withdraw the report in question at that time. I ran into severe lag and was forced off the interweb for some days. It was unfortunate, for you see, I not only planned on withdrawing the report, but also planned on giving you the sum of 40,000 gold.
Several weeks ago a friend of mine gave all his gold, 200k, to Alkath before suiciding. He instructed Alkath to give the money to the next person to be attemped by Flare at the STS. I was overjoyed when that person happened to be me, and thought it would be proper to offer you a share of this gold.
I wanted it to be a surprise to make you happy and decided that the sum of 40,000 gold payable to FLARE would be fair compensation for your releasing the remaining 160,000 gold to me. However, Alkath refused to pay the 5% bank fee from his own money. I had no gold at the time so I had to come to you for 2,000 gold to cover the bank fees. It is most regrettable that I had to resort to a well-intentioned trick that went bad due to the power of lag and disconnections on the interweb. Truly it is a world of many perils that we are living in.
However, now the payment of 40,000 gold is ready and shall soon be yours! As a matter of fact, all modalities for the successful transfer of this gold to you have been worked out.
There remains only an administrative fee that Alkath is requesting for being the caretaker of this gold. It is 3,000 gold which I feel is fair compensation. Please deliver the sum of 3,000 gold to me so that I may transfer it to Alkath and secure the monies that both you and I are due.
