Grimscar was just trying to lose most the party members i think here by trudging through the swamp, and he succeeded.
Even if you do trigger Root then you'll be lost in the 3 'fades into the shadows' swap rooms, i takes like 4 triggers to stop that break happening.

As for Pounder's little comment...a sure thing? Are you kidding me? Hahahaha. If I wanted to just break and report everyone, I would've done that. If I wanted to go to an innroom, I would've done that. I had one rented right there in Bree.
Kaekavoos' log would have been more interesting, and showed you how I broke everyone but him, and then took him out into the plains and backhunted him..unfortunately, he found his way back to bree, and to the others. I didn't fade because I figured it was easy enough to break in bree. Unfortunately, my ferny break was incorrect and I didn't fade once I'd gotten past the gate. '5fades' doesn't work, I guess.
Can't blame this kill on anyone but myself. Oh, and this was at beginning of last reboot. (Don't know why it didnt get posted til now)

As I put it when I told Polk about this kill, Grimscar likes to gamble and he's playing russian roulette with pking. He likes to play hard and bet that he'll turn it around on his attackers and nail them in the end. Roulette's a rough game with high stakes. The same with Grimscar's pking. This time he got the bullet.
Whether he turns the kills around or dies, people always say 'Hoooolllleeeeeeeeeeeeeee sheeeeeeeeeeeet.. damn what a good log!'
