path, which leads steadily up the great hill.  Spaced along the way
are several short flights of stairs.  Beside the road a swift 
stream of water flows in a stone channel.  There are many houses on
either side of the path as it winds its way up the hill.  To the east
is a small stone guard house, to the west a building with a plaque on
its door.
