    This is a wide stone-paved corridor in the fortress of Cirith
Ungol.  Torches mounted on wall brackets splutter fitfully,
lending a dim, blood-red light that seems to welcome and dance
with the watching shadows.  Dank stone walls arch above, once
magnificent masonry wretched from years of neglect and disrepair.
There is little sound save for the beating of your heart and the 
rap of your feet, which seems to grow to an echoing noise, like
the slapping of great hands upon the stone slabs.
