    This saddle of relatively open land stretches between low mountains.
Though this is part of the White Mountains, it is not nearly as high as
the bulk of the mountain range to the south.  Snow lingers on in shady
patches, but the cold is not nearly as bad as in the true mountain passes.
From here you have a clear view down onto the battlefield in the valley.
This is a good place to put a lookout.
