I left SoU and was going to help certain people kill Beornings because well..they killed me in spectacular fashion:P
Then I realised. I don't want to sit on the PC spending hours sitting in a innroom, drawing attempts, asking every wizard friend I have to piss away their EP running finds for me. Golding to pay off fines and gah..Then it occured to me that. Even PK isn't fun for me here anymore.

i think on some level they think this was really cool and alot of fun! Haha, if you have to resort to this to have fun on the game you should stop playing and get atleast a sembelance of a real life. I didn't report out of some sense of martyrdom Squibb, I didn't report because it would make me a hypocrite. I can advocate a lawless Arda while reporting attacks. That being said ,that they were lame enough to take 11 people along meant I did seriously consider reporting. But then they would have had MELS and I'd rather they didn't have MELS.
If this is a joke, it's a self depricating one. Obviously they don't feel that they have much good will or respect to lose by doing these kinds of things.

Rand is a good assassin, he's fast to notice where his target is going, he knows a lot of breaks to trigger, he kinda often (well at least used to) has good timing. But all this banging lately does not show any of those skill. I don't get it really, what's the fun in pking if it's not a sport?
And last of all, I love Barazbund :) That's the way to look at this log. And with fightning 11 guys, you'd get too drunk to drink vov's after a while, from them doing an assload of damage on you :P

well he didn't kill me never and i don't hate people when they kill me. even evil people servants of sauron must keep their words. he gives words out easily promesing everything and then in the next second he reports you and kills your level 14 guildmate posting it on the logpage with the tag 'beornings attack me i kill them'
of course he waits for you to quit so he doesn't egt the fine as well. bah, no point in explaining i know i don't believe one word oracle sais any more. for me he is just a lying zero and i will be happy when i see him killing rabbits in rivendell to remax the character

if julius and raqtor were here they would get 20maned and they would shut up and leave after that.
in this situation only the result (hirgail dying) counted. nothing more.
pking isn't nearly as easy as it used to be. maybe if all the vials phials brewals and shitals were removed leaving only flask (the silver one wich takes 2 rounds to hit) then solo kills would be way more often.
the administration made this mud the way it is, they made us resort to gangbangs like this one to do something efficient. especialy against people like oracle (a complete 0, ZERO, NULL, whatever you want) in this game because they abuse lawsys and unexperienced players to show their skill. then perhaps when we get them to level 14 and unable to actualy harm anyone, everything will be ok again.
if none of us gets nuked for levelbashing.

I don't understand why everyone is going on about killing with finesse or assassination here. This wasn't an assassination. This was an execution. Obviously the Beornings wanted Hirgail dead for whatever reason. Hopefully they are satisfied now.

everyone, obviously, this isn't a pk, it's a joke, if, even a bit of a violent one. The victim loses nothing. The time loss is minimal. it's just a bit of fun. stop treating it like a pk! I'd rather be a victim of this once instead of suffering the continual annoying RP of all the elven guilds who take my time, my gold, make me a sitting duck for anyone tryng to pk me, run to guildhall at the minimum threat of being outfought, report me for any sort of retalliation even inside loth, and call me a coward, a jackass, and a lamer when i threaten to report them also.

I do know that this game wouldnt be fun for me if all i ever did was fade, privacy on, leave my guild hall for a few easy quests, run home, and then idle out so everyone would think I was leaving for the night. Thats the only way you will never be in a position for a solo pkill.

yeah, i can name quite a few bulgarians and others who bitch about people reporting, who report every solo, two man, or what.
This topic - soloes and bangs is old but - well, some of us don't have only one enemy in all their life to spend eternity to wait on him. Rather, we kill when we want. I'd call it flexibility.
I personally don't think an assassin who only gangbangs is good. The one who only soloes won't be good either. One has to know everything.

I woulda reported this one. 3, maybe 4 goes without a report. But 5+, no. If you think you need that many, then you should have to pay a fine, maybe that will teach you some finesse and the meaning of timing.

Farrick, your POV presupposes incompetence on the part of the victim. Some people simply do not place themselves into situations where a lone attacker could kill them. However a prepared target can still be killed through the proper application of firepower. This is what happened here.
As to finding a hero, well *shrug* I dunno, I wouldn't say Raqtor or Julius or Hirgail or anyone else is my hero. I look up to certain people, certainly. But as far as looking up to assassins goes I'd say Julius, Raqtor, Jerf, and Delrin are more to look up to than the gangbang kings.
I know he still plays, he's just not as active now as he once was. And the whole point to being an assassin is well 'assassination' you show up when you know your target is hurting and you do them in. Quickly and efficiently. Not leading an army around behind you to kill all opposition you can find :p

If they'd have attacked when this uber party did no, we wouldn't have seen a corpse. But both Julius and Raqtor had a little element we call timing. Neither of them WOULD have attacked with Hirgail at that HP. Rand and Daywalker rely on firepower and their ability to trigger breaks alarmingly fast-props to them on their triggering abilities. Julius and Raqtor for the most part made sure they timed it so their target died before making it to a few breaks. It is two different styles of pking. Which ones will be remembered when it's all over?

At least they don't kill with 11 other buddies. I guarantee you if either of them had gone after Hirgail it wouldve been solo-AND we'd still see the corpse of Hirgail at the end.
