I think we're talking semantics here. I imagine what the MUD in general would define roleplay as is: a way for enemies to challenge each other in actual battles without ending up dead twice a day. Strictly speaking, this isn't roleplay.
Roleplay would be, much as Grimscar suggested fight to the death, take every advantage, give no quarter because the winner gets to bang the loser's sister. Up the ass.
Personally, I got enough people trying to kill me off without seeking out Roleplay Grimscar's way...

ok so i must admit, loaning my wep to the enemy for an RP fight is bullshit, but when i first saw him with an sc, everyone knew what the outcome would be like already. it would be so one sided that it wouldnt even be worth posting on the logpage. i did it all the in the name of sportsmanship(in which still exists in my vocabulary). besides i have much faith and confidence in my bretheren Dalkar, so if you have a problem with that, su3 m3 :P

I dont know why Grimscar is getting so offensive about how most other people roleplay. Some people may disagree citing they prefer to kill their enemies. I dont have a problem with that either, only if you dont get messed up in the shitty guild politics. the problem is nowadays somehow or another, you end up paying for the guys death, and in the end, you lose a bunch of gold in exchange for some cheap thrill.

Holy moses, guys, take it easy. There are a lot of worse character names out there. And it was nice of Teion to come down and play, although it would have been a much better read if all four of them online had popped over, which is what we wanted. He fought well, and pretty much kicked my ass.

Heh. RP or no RP, this log isn't very classy. I have a hard time picturing two opponents fighting each other in a fantasy atmosphere when one of the participants borrows a fang from the other, and says in his best elvish: 'wtf is going on'.
