Depends on your definition of quiting. Sure he typed quit. It wasn't against the rules and he wasn't actively fighting anyone that cared if he quit. He was fighting NPCs they couldn't give a darn that he quit. As I said, Vildoran could have stayed in the room and continued fighting him until one of them died if he wanted too. If you ask me, Vildoran was abusing (although very smart, which most abuses/cheats tend to be) the lockup that he figured Yao nor any of his friends had a key to. But I know you didn't ask me and this is an old log that no one reads the comments on any more so I guess I win! JK

Etrius, don't be a moron, this is a game with mechanisms that are very UNREAL. We all use them to our advantages. How the hell could someone get out of combat simply by opening the door to their inn room and stepping inside? This is a game setting and we use the games functions to our benefit and sometimes detriment. Don't blanter to me about theme when this game is WAY off theme in so many ways I won't even start. And don't act like that last comment is false.

Don't be an idiot, Barberi. Yao quit to avoid dying. He abused an OOC game mechanism because he was too much of a coward to fight it out. The whole concept of quitting doesn't change just because he wasn't in combat. Yao may not have a tag in his legend. But quitting is quitting.

Yao quit outside of combat. Vildoran could have stayed in the same room with him the whole time if he had wanted too and stopped him from quiting. Quit your whining/commenting about it.

Duncan, my client doesn't have that much colour in it one because I'm colourblind, and two because I don't like having images burned onto my retina every time I switch rooms.

I don't have tells or comms coloured because I cap them all to a seperate comm window, which means I just have to look at that. I'm also thinking of creating a third 'combat' window, and trying to cap all combat rounds to that, could be trickier though.

Um, well, yes, Balzamon, room_desc might irritate your eyes, that's why I have mine green:) It's personal though. You really don't need every room in color but it is good to colour spots like MT SIGNPOST or RIVENDELL or RHOSGOBEL so you don't have to bother reading so much:)

Heh, I can't understand people with so much red in their screen. It looks too..hmm, disturbing. That's my personal opinion though, green might look disturbing too, depends on the person.

You need colours just to make things more visible, especially to the log-readers:)

Heh, I used to have pink for the enemies once to make them look gay:)

Here's what you need settings for to make me read it:

    room_desc

    party say

    say

    tell

    lawsys

    coloured comms

coloured special attacks (I guess I'm stupid but it takes me a lot of time to search through the lines to see why people's HP go down).

    And most important:

A HUGE SHAPE THING (colourful if possible)

It is good that at least the commands were coloured:)

As I told a friend, I prefer a colourful one-round bang to a long boring colourless solo. Unless your solo is like Spike divides and conquers or Barazbund vs durms. Such logs deserve being posted without color.

I never color my room descriptions. Puts too much color on the damn screen.

Blah, why don't you set color room_desc or however it is, I couldn't read all of it. Why don't you guys fix your settings before you post logs? I suppose it was a good log.

Pallasch, however, I think it may be worth a client sub and sound when I get unfaded, so it doesn't happen again, not that I'll fade when handcuffing again

Noone in BkD got, or reported anyone as far as I know.

In fact hell, I have no idea if I can even report anyone, I was faded for the kolobos part, and it was very spammy.

Earlier, when Toruh attacked me when I tried to arrest Kolobos, I reported for attempted Murder. After this fight, Toruh reported me for attempted Murder.

My fine for attacking (but not getting the kill) on Toruh was 1260. My reimbursement for his earlier attempt was 1281. Net profit: 21gold. Ownz!

Ah Boffo, I'm glad someone was thinking about me holding the key, because I certainly wasn't, though I was actually noticing noone was hitting me much, I didn't drop below 180 or so.

Fortunately as delrin says, they didn't even try to focus me, so I was a little lucky :)

    My contribution:

I ran around carrying a vial of vigor in each of my hands for the first half of the Deadman's Dike fray. I was told to pass one to Damocles, cuz we have to protect the Key man.

I didn't realise we'd be going into the Dike, so I was blinded by darkness for a bunch of this. When I could finally see and give away a VoV, and draw my sword, then I actually didn't suck to bad.

I usually run with Merciful On -except I tried to arrest Kolobos like, half an hour before this log started. Delrin and Toruh protected him. An anonymous figure (Taudrek I think) backstabbed me, and when I get attacked by assassin, I trigger to merciful off (Joo gonn' try Keeeel me... I'ma gonn' try Keeeel joo).

Mog died when we were attacking kolobos, kolobos got away cos I screwed up the handcuffing.

Then we locked toruh, pounder taudrek and delrin in deadmans dike and killed them all.

Yes dear, you did, I saw a lockup/backhunt coming, but me and Toruh figured we had like all the keys in the area around Bree. Seems we didn't :P Once again, sorry Taudrek Toruh and Pounder.

To our defenses, me and Toruh two-manned Mog.

I guess I should've taken a look on who locked the door, and focused and killed Damocles for the key, and leave to heal and come back and finish them.

    All ifs, though.

Good job, didn't see this lockup coming. I must say it was very sloppy executed though. Oh well, whatever works.
