I'm glad i'm not the only one who puts shit on Otorons hairdo, makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. In other news, Grimscar's client abusing was one of the greatest things to ever happen on the mud. Old trick, but funny as hell. Easy to say when I didn't lose Aiglos or whip or something because of it.

For example, according to Whoremaruth, if you talk bad about a religion it is harassment, since someone might be offended even if you had no idea, and as such it is warnable. We learned that last night. So no more making fun of L. Ron Hubbard I guess :(

On another note, Rathmar and Crusaderr are too old and inept to use this site, and asked me to inform/remind you all of their trash-talking competition. I figure that since 95% of posts here are just trash-talking, we get lots of practice. Legend Rat for the website where you go and apply. You get to tell them how you think you should be seeded (its like March Madness for those NCAA basketball fans out there), but they make the judgement in the end.

Yeah. And since I haven't flamed yet, fuck you Iarla.

Iarla, grow up or be destroyed! ;-). Seriously, I don't need that shit, you know as well as I that the rules are sometimes increadibly vague on towers.

Yes, what do they mean? You never know on towers until you are nuked for something which that particular Ainu thinks falls within the rule.

and btw, by taking control of other people's characters I think they didn't mean setting off a trigger that is supposed to go off when something is said, but more of manipulating things such as that ;quit; thing. So you could actually take control of a person's character and insert any command instead of quit.

Oh, I see I hurt your feelings.. what a shame. You seem to be drawing wrong conclusions from Deornoth's words. The fact that on either side there's someone who has done something questionable doesn't mean we shouldn't speak out when we see it occur.

  • Author

Grimscar was the first to do it in such a grandiose and public way.

You've got it wrong. I'm not arguing about anything. I couldn't care less about Hobytla or whichever newbie Beorning he's killing. It doesn't concern me. I'm hibernated. What pissed me off is the way you've come here and started pointing fingers. Deornoth is right. For every bad or supposedly questionable thing we've done, there's someone on your side that's done the exact same. So try and be a little less condascending in future.

Zelindo, I remember that:P And I think it wasn't Grimscar that actually started it, he was just the best noticeable one..

Taudrek, I think it's pathetic how all your arguments fall into the 'Your friends do that too, so stfu' category while you try to avoid admitting that abusing someone's looting trigger in PKs is sad (so is setting up the client in a way which allows for such abuse but that's a different story).

  • Author
    Zelindo [legacy]
    At
    22 March 2005 18:40:02

Also, it wasn't abusing client triggers in PKs that made that rule. It was abusing client triggers in general. I seem to remember a log of Grimscar having a line in his description which would make people quit when they looked at him. But I guess we all forgot about that :(

I'd also like to note that Daimen's botched attempt on me took place _after_ the new rules were put in place.

I was just a little annoyed at the way Scypio was being all righteous and smug. Throwing suggestions from his glass house and playing with his copy and paste. Your Guildmates are the reason we have such stringent rules on the subject. So don't get all haughty and superior with me.

That's when the rules got changed, right? And since lex retro non agit AND lex severior retro non agit..

  • Author
    Deornoth [legacy]

    22 March 2005 18:31:03

For every questionable thing an enemy has done, you have someone on your own side that has done the same. But that doesn't make it acceptable, and I fail to see the point of arguing over it.

  • Author
    Taudrek [legacy]
    At
    22 March 2005 18:26:10

Oh. And Daimen too. He likes to exploit people's triggers, usually so he can idle kill them.

  • Author
    Scypio [legacy]

Not necessarily as they're mostly MUD triggers and the rules only apply to client triggers.

uh, then emote breaking would fall into that category too.

'At no time may they be used to simulate hunt, to assist with 'botting'

(help botting), to spam, to harass, used to stay online illegally, or

abused to take control of another player.

    Perpetrators will be punished harshly.'

This one falls into the last category.

Rambler attempted me once. I also recall other posts being made on the Guildboard about his attacks on assorted members. You can't argue that this attack was unprovoked, and you can't argue that he's an innocent. If he's a newbie, then I'd advise that he distance himself from the PvP/PK scene in future.

Some people, when they drink a Gala vial, like hitting with the whip.

On others, it has the opposite, rather lame, effect of making them try to get their opponent's triggers to fire.
