    At the edge of the desert and the wasteland lies this enormous
outpost.  This is the southernmost encampment of Near Harad, the 
major waypoint used when travelling across the treacherous deserts.  
Surrounding the outpost is a tall wooden palisade, presumably used
as protection from the harsh desert storms.  The only entrance that
can be seen is a fortified wooden gate.

    The large, dusty road running from the north to the south gate of
the outpost is blemished here by a huge bonfire.  Another road leading
west to east intersects this one, seemingly making the bonfire the
center of the town.  People cluster in the area, talking and shouting,
perhaps agitated over a recent loss in the pit, which can be accessed
from here.
