Myrddin, it's not all about money and exp you know. You said you lost 8 stats and Tiresias lost 10 stats. What are those but just a NUMBERS that can be restored. IMHO you lose much more if you just hide and let other fight and bleed, you lose things that can't be restored. What makes deaths insubstantial are fights like the one in this log. But then again, as I said it's only my opinion.

yeah, getting double tapped and you'ld lose 1/2 your exp and minimum 30 stats, more likely 40-50
No Myrddin, he's not, NPC and PC deaths used to be one and the same, and did a hell of a lot of damage to stats/skills/exp.
I believe, and please do correct me if I'm wrong, that in the past (few years ago) it was the same wether you died from npc or pc. Then it was changed by Valinor so when you died to a pc you were losing less stats and exp but everything stayed the same for skills. Death penalties have been lowered once again so now it's the same if you die from npc or pc and you lose less stats, exp and skills.
Azmar you sound like you're talking npc deaths, I highly doubt any player death ever caused 24 stat loss. Most I've had is like, 15 in the old system.

myrddin, old deaths could lose 24+ stats and 10+ skills...
yeah, this death thing is wierd. I had 5 stats at 101 for this death. They ALL went down to 100 and one to 99. 6stats... That was lame... I wouldnt mind if only a few went down to 100 and something hit like 98. Instead of just dropping shit across the board.

Saying new death changes makes deaths insubstantial is crap. It's all luck now. I died yesterday to an ER bang and lost 8 stats, and Tiresias has died several times and lost over 10. So not all deaths are cheap.
One more thing... props to Armand, Hart, Xsi and Taridel because they decided to hold their ground and kill their enemies or die trying, especialy when they knew about the weapons their enemies were going to use on them. But that's not all they did... they had balls to go back after what happened to them and that's something I admire and respect. You guys feel free to call this silly Khazad whenever you decide to crush some evil skulls, I'll be glad and honored to fight side by side with you.

It's hard to make a single party when you have more then 20 maxed FRs online and one ERs party roamming around East Arda, believe me I've tryed to do it many times. There are more newbies (lowbies) that are willing to fight then maxed FRs. Lets face it, no matter how stupid it sounds, people are scared to fight ERs. I keep asking myself why is this the case especially with this new dieing system and honestly I can't find a decent answer. I wonder when will people realise that there is no point in hiding in their guilds, inn rooms, West Arda etc when they see a bp been taken by ERs. I've heared so many brave stories like 'yeah we've pushed the ERs back to the evil lands and tookover back all the bps'.. it's easy to do it when ERs got tired of waiting for FRs to do something and simply leave before FRs even try to do anything. Fight when they attack not when they leave.. Start fighting immediately when you see a bp being attacked. To stop myself from going further on this matter I'm just gonna say this:' STOP hiding and START fighting you wimps... when you see a bp beeing attacked grab a first weapon you find (a wooden sword is enough!) and run to defend your lands, nobody will do it for you... and believe me when ERs see like 20 of you at a bp they wont stick around to check if you are wielding a wooden sword or a mel'

This started out with only one person hunting hart, and at the last moment we saw 4 of them coming. I was leading the party and when the 4 men followed us in, it was my decision to run them into the lock. So im the rookie who decided to put everyones life on the line and go for it.
My men spend every boot out there in any ER controlled lands questing gear and making shit happen. Id take any one of their rookie asses of you pathetic wining 133t twits any day!
Yeah, my buffer lost most of the colour log, I wouldn't have posted it if I had seen Kalimac post his but we must've posted it at about the same time. But I'll leave it on for the Dumahd part and because of a bug Nicuramar never fixed that forces me to post logs from another pc, and it's just too much of a bother.
