I'm not complaining, I'm just saying it is not much better than hamstring.

Is it really worth training a skill for a single weapon when death costs are around what you initially pay for the skill? Besides, I would have to find Ulkhalad alive first.. you see

correst me if i'm wrong, but can't you train a skill to more than null srs, even knock the wizard out? :P

When I put my foot down on the spread of the Demonheart name in my guild, I did it for RP purposes... but it was a troubled name, that is for sure.

We still miss Maji in the Mathom House, but the whole mud (barring a few assholes) will miss Tir.

Didn't really know you at all, but it's always sad to see a member of the community leave. Best wishes on all of your ventures.

It's a little bad taste to hijack someone's goodbye thread and turn it into yet another ER-FR balance spat. Shame on you all.

All the best for the future, Tiresias. :)

Bye man we had a hell of a lot of good times-- this really fricking' sucks, they're isn't really any reason to stick around without my MUD brother :( I will though, and I'll keep it bringing it to the ERs damn it! In the land of Mordor, where the shadows die... forever Tire!

Shame to see one of the coolest FR's leaving. Tiresias is one of a few who interacts with ER's.

Vermond -- wasn't your insta-kill before they changed backstab? I'm thinking it was but am not sure.

Tiresias -- I wish I'd known you were saying goodbye yesterday! You will definitely be missed!

Though I will say I do not use hamstring when I'm in a party (which is very very rare these days). I did think of another solution the other day. When someone is hamstrung, each round of combat they experience it checks how many people make a hit that round, and bearing on how many are in combat in the room you may eventually get a message like 'With so many people after your blood, you ignore the pain in your leg and press on regardless' after which the hamstring effect is gone.

ANyways enough, leaving the thread for tiresias.

Myrddin I know it's a fairly long travelto, which is why I said that I was caught halfway between Harnen and Kadar (heading to kadar). I didn't make it to kadar.

This was after the backstab changes too.

Formid, Outpost - Kadar, as opposed to Edoras - Adornas, is one of the longer traveltos. Considering Edoras - Adornas in this case is actually only Edoras - ent, that is to my reckoning 30 - 35 rooms (I think about 33) while the Kadar to Outpost is like, 50+ easily.

And while I agree with Vermond on the instakill, such skills have since been completely nerfed. (multiple backstab) while bang parties of 5 - 10 people (double party) with hamstring have had nothing done to them.

Let's not turn this thread into a whine/flame thread, the log is here for friends/wellwishers of Tiresias as this is probably the only place they will be able to give their regards to him other than by IM etc.

Also, I have his contact details if anyone wants them.

I was insta killed, log was posted twice or something. Caught in the last 5 rooms in my BD-Isenmouthe alias and I was dead when I was at Isenmouthe. Your call.

I died yesterday travelto quickly from Edoras to Adornas. I started at

full hp and had a vial. Granted, I made a typo and typed 'drink vila',

but still... I was going on the shortest travelto route excluding Bywater

and the Thrands area traveltos in the game, and to make it successfully I

needed a vial? That's messed up.

I was at full HP, fully equipped, and halfway between Kadar and Harnen bridge (3/4 of the way between The Outpost and Kadar) heading towards kadar. I was caught, attacked by a bunch of FR's and I didn't make it to kadar, yet you claim that this is only possible with hamstring.

I had some interesting times with you, although they were few and far between. PK, RP, it sure was a different experience. Yet all that was IC, and OOCly i wish you all the best. If you're cool with Myrddin, Jenna and co, you're cool with me, bro. Take care.

Though I wasn't a very close friend of Tiresias, he was a valuable ally in the war against evil races. Be well friend, may your journeys and adventures be plentiful. :)

I'll miss him...he and I stocked up flasks and phials, stews and wine one week, in preparation for a mapping of the Dead Marshes, which neither of us had really been in before.

It proved fairly simple, but I will never forget it, and I note his help on the map of the Marshes.

From reading his goodbye, I knew what was happening to him, and if he reads this, I hope you know I still consider you a great friend, albeit one torn by the death and war of this game now.

Be well Tiresias, and may our paths cross again in the future.
