I'm not into the frenzy of posting anymore but this one was to gigglish to not post. No color probably but lovely.
I'm not blaming anyone (except the anonymous immortal who implemented this change) but I think it is not right that you're condemning someone for the use of what is a direct consequence of your own petition. Anyway, it's just another unfair nuke, certainly not the first one, probably not the last one, and I'm guessing even 100 more wouldn't make a difference.
I think shift grip change has been in for a while (I can remember Rekkless using it with SS) and the shiv change was pretty recent. I could be wrong though.
The petition was mine, but it was not meant to be implemented like that, so I will take no blame, I know a solution how to implement the petition without allowing space for bugs though.
Nevertheless, it's quite funny that no busy rounds for shift grip were implemented almost together with shiv needing a free hand.
I disagree with shift gripping, there shouldn't be busy rounds (as somebody said there are none for dropping phials and feinting, or shift gripping and feinting for that matter). But the ambushing patrols is bullshit. Yes it's only possible on patrols from a few regions, and only then in a few locations, but the main region bountyhunters have been using this 'trick' for just happens to take up about half of East Arda.
Also Formid, keep those random numbers in your ass instead of pulling them out to show us. There are a grand total of at least 10 npcs I can think offhand that can be ambushed due to them following/roaming, in ER lands alone.
yeah its only a few npcs but coincedentally patrols happen to be the most critical npc regarding balancing pvp on the mud, funny how BH's can rape them and its an obvious bug yet ainur dont fix it, how many ainur have bh alts/friends?
Whose petition?
Considering the fact that exactly the same behaviour but on the opposing side is perfectly legal, and many *odd* at best recent changes to the game (like #5 do shift grip, shiv, shift grip taking 1 round and not making you busy, or infinite ambushing), *and* given similar happenings in the past (energizing the governor) I don't think there was any valid reason for a nuke. Also, I think many would find it amusing (or disgusting) to know whose petition it was that, adopted by Valinor, led to Bartoss being nuked.
Just learn not to cross ainur's alts and maybe you wont get nuked, ass kissing might help too, I don't know
Well you all know that someone can get away with something cause there is no log, or proof that said person does it. Someone probably logged Bartoss doing it and sent it in.
I had no idea Bartoss was nuked. That is a fuc*king disgusting show of the lethal danger of hypocrisy.
that is a bad solution considering you can ambush a target an infinite amount of times at the moment.
Check one of the other threads above, I posited a solution to that.
But the principle is the same, except that it applies to a more restricted group of NPCs. And no, not any NPC. But in turn, repeated ambush is way more effective against PCs due to the (bullshit if you ask me) lack of cooldown period.
There are a grand total of about 4-5 NPC's in the entire game which it's possible to repeatedly ambush (or in fact ambush at all), they have to slowly follow you into a room, or they have to randomly wander into the room you're ambushing in, you can backstab any NPC in the game, thats the difference.
Just one difference - BHs are on your side.
There's a difference between doing that to patrols and questing MELS and MMAIL like that though.
sure, bartoss gets nuked for bs'ing npcs over and over but er's ambushing their patrols over and over again is just fine because ainur are selectively retarded and only nuke people who kill their alts
Alien Calenril? Is not the word, its totally different just same grid, or even thats not the same now.
This was a pain in mordor too. But then, it was a fairly small place so you could just use a room as your 'phial' room and hope you could drink/get as part of an alias without lsoing it. :P I had it in my lockup aliases.
So anyways, sounds like the mud is pretty alien compared to before.
... Successfully stealing depends on theft, stealing without being noticed depends on stealth.
theft depends on stealth too, need 100 of both :P
Or failing a headbutt with 100 tactics, or failing a steal with 100 theft, it happens to everybody people.
Just like maxed wilderness or whatever skill it is, allows you to fail setting or building a trap over and over...
Masters? I still fail camo constantly with 100 deception.
... No, that makes them masters of camouflage.
Deception: 100
This makes them masters of stealth.
'Thieves aren't supposed to fight, they are supposed to be sneaky :)'
This makes them master of stealth.
I used store sword, Betus. It's wielded, it's not going in the baldric wielded, it removes :P
Thieves aren't supposed to fight, they are supposed to be sneaky :)
Assassins are supposed to kill things. If you watch any assassin movie, they all kick serious butt. Sure, they can be stealthy, and sneak up/hit someone with a sniper rifle, but they are usually masters at hand to hand combat...
Thieves don't have combat skills either :(
I missed whatever happened a few days ago I guess...Jaron was trying to tell me...that you could just camo and BS over and over?
So?! :P
Exactly, we have none, and we are supposed to be the killers of arda, but a warrior with secondaries kills better than we do:)
I'd be fine with how it was a few days ago except that you'd be free to bs PCs (after the cooldown period), and not NPCs (for obvious reasons:P).
He means something during combat. Assassins are pretty weak already. I never got beat up by certain NPC's when I was a ranger, but they smack me around now.
Backstab?
There is a thread on the T2T forums discussing additional assassin skills, like a blow dart or something...to do a pre-attack on someone...
I like the assassin combat skill idea though...maybe like a 'throat cut' or something...
'Baklen moves behind you and gashes your throat with a quick slice!'
Sort of like a headbutt or something...
Camo is a far better skill. I would like to see it like Vermond states though. I also want to petition an assassin skill for in combat use. We are the only profession without one.
Bottom line : Bring back fade? :P
Vermond, what fix are you talking about?
Assassins should be able to camo and not be in combat, however not infinite times as it was a few days ago before the fix (because of obvious bugs with npcs). I liked the way fade was, you would have a state when you were faded and when you were not. If you got in combat while faded, you would still be in combat after fading again, and vice versa. Maybe camo could be like that, with the difference that you are camoed off if you are in combat when in camo state.
What he's saying is that if you have hand healing, there is no way that a thief can't steal it if he wants to.
And an assassin, being able to camouflage and sneak through enemy lands, arent?
Maybe because thieves are master of stealth?
kill the fuck
I don't see how thieves should be able to hide while in combat, but assassins can't camo and be in the same room as someone they were in combat with without being revealed...
It is not abuse. It is not lame. It is not deserved vengeance. It is Baklen.
I agree with Baklen. its not like Moral thieves ever hide at Kadar or Osgiliath sp....
Owned? Not likely, the fact that he can hide while in combat and steal something from me is abuse in my opinion. A warrior renowed for his battle prowless can't find a human in the plains that he's in combat with? So the thief sneaks up behind him steals his flask from his pouch and can run away?
As if.
I really don't care, I'll just not walk around with hand healing anymore.
There's no abuse. Morals are getting owned by a level 10. That's all.
What's the abuse of a thief ability?
Why Sunflash removes the sword to put it into the baldric? you can directly 'put sword into baldric' ;-))
It's sad that they need to do it because of the current game setting.
Yeah, I tend to agree. And like I've said before...if an ER wants to take his life into his hands and venture over into FR lands...even if he's level 10, he's going to be treated like he's level 20.
Trempk said it all, really. Level 10 thieves who steal deserve to die. What's lame is these thieves abusing no lawsys to steal from whoever they want, whenever they want.
[295] % Baklen: I should of gangbanged him like Armand said heehe
hahaha
Atleast I didn't take 5 men like some idiots do on this mud:)
I agree with Baklen, it's not sad.
It's lame :P
Sad? You obviously don't know Fernando, and you obviously don't know what he does. Have you tried to kill any evil that just goes to osgiliath and mt? ALL day, just sits in mt gates and steals? I've lost 15 phials and vovs to this guy.
I'll gangbang him for just being annoying.
I don't see how its lame. If he doesnt want to get killed, then he shouldnt sit around the mt gates all day stealing from every non-serving FR that walks by. Come on, its a war, quit being a bunch of little babies.
not pretty sad, pretty lame
Actually pretty sad that you guys ganged up on a level 10...lol. But I guess, like Sckul says, he must have deserved it...
It's almost a game to see who can get the death blow on him.
omg, it took 2 guys with very nice eq to kill a lvl 10??? fdl... he must have deserved it soo much :P
Dol Guldur
where do those necklaces come from?
