    This is the sole access point in a long wall of wooden stakes, 
sharpened to points at the top, and staked two-deep, leaving no
gaps.  The massive wall stretches off to the north and south as far as 
you can see, eventually curving eastwards and out of view on either side.
The well-used road ends here, degrading into a rather muddy affair.  
It seems as though you have come across the entrance to a dunlending
settlement of sorts; thin plumes of smoke rise from behind the wooden 
stakes, and the trampling hooves of horses can be faintly discerned.  A 
large wooden gate of massive proportions is the only obstacle to gaining 
entrance into the settlement, and what an obstacle it is.  This gate was 
built to withstand great stress and battering.
